Who we are
SILVERCROFT PROPERTY LIMITED (“SilverCroft Property”, “we”, “us”) is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17393169. We buy residential property directly from owners across England and Wales. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

What information we collect
When you contact us or submit an enquiry form, we collect:
- Your name, telephone number and email address
- The address and postcode of the property you are enquiring about
- Details about the property: type, tenure, condition, occupancy
- Your reason for selling and your preferred timescale
- Anything else you choose to tell us in the notes field or on a call
If a sale progresses, we will also need identity documents (typically a passport or driving licence and a proof of address) to meet our legal anti-money-laundering obligations, along with information about ownership and title.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we do not ask for special category data such as health information.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare an offer — on the basis of your consent, and of taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
- To progress a purchase — on the basis of performing a contract with you.
- To carry out identity and anti-money-laundering checks — on the basis of our legal obligations under the Money Laundering Regulations.
- To keep records of transactions — on the basis of our legal obligations and our legitimate interest in maintaining accurate business records.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data, and we do not pass your enquiry to other property companies, lead-generation networks or introducers. This is a deliberate difference between us and much of our industry.
We share information only where it is necessary: solicitors and conveyancers acting on a purchase; surveyors we instruct; identity verification providers for anti-money-laundering checks; our accountants and professional advisers; and law enforcement, HMRC or regulators where we are legally required to do so.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not proceed: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Completed purchases: at least 6 years from completion, to meet tax, accounting and legal record-keeping obligations. Anti-money-laundering records are kept for 5 years from the end of the business relationship.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses fonts served by Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to our processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time where consent is our basis for processing.
To exercise any of these, email us at admin@silvercroftproperty.co.uk. We will respond within one month, and there is no charge.
Marketing
We contact you about your enquiry and nothing else. We do not run marketing campaigns, we do not add enquirers to mailing lists, and we do not share your details with anyone who might.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted transmission, access controls and secure storage. We will notify you and the ICO without undue delay if a breach occurs that is likely to affect your rights.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version and its date will always appear at the top of this page.
